Airstream Caravel vs Bambi

When you’re comparing popular travel trailers, two you’ll find on the roads of Columbus, Grove City, and Dublin, Ohio, are the Airstream Caravel and Airstream Bambi. Both travel trailers fit into the single-axel travel trailer category and offer a modern interior that you can make yours.

Mark Wahlberg RV knows how important research is when it comes to choosing the travel trailer that’s right for you. That’s why our team put together this Airstream Caravel vs. Bambi comparison. Take a look!

Sizing Options

When you’re choosing your travel trailer, size matters. Both the Bambi and the Caravel have four size options from about 16 feet to 22 feet.
The Caravel is the slightly larger trailer, with its exterior length coming to 16.5 feet long. Conversely, the Bambi is smaller, coming in at 16.1 feet.

The interior and exterior width of both trailers is the same at 7.7 feet inside and 8.0 feet outside. However, their exterior height changes a bit depending on if you include opting for the air conditioner. The Caravel stands four inches taller than the Bambi at 9.7 feet with AC.

Interior Style

The interiors of the Caravel and Bambi offer plenty of amenities, making them comfortable to spend time in. Both offer four different floor plans that allow you to sleep up to four in the trailer.

The interior styles do differ when it comes to aesthetics. The Caravel is a blend of modern and edgy with a special black Moen® faucet and stainless-steel gas stove with cast-iron burners.
The Bambi is an excellent combination of modernity and efficiency. It also has stainless steel kitchen appliances for a clean look. There are also standard blackout curtains to get great sleep even if the sun is high in the sky.

In terms of technology and entertainment, both have cable TV hookups and a LED HD TV. The Caravel has a great sound system for audiophiles—the JL Stereo with Bluetooth®, surround sound, and a subwoofer.

Exterior Features

When looking at the outside of both trailers, they have a bit in common. Both have exterior showers with hot and cold water. This is great if you need to wash off gear before heading into the trailer or clean off your furry friend, so he doesn’t get mud inside the trailer.

Both the Bambi and the Caravel also have patio awnings, so you can enjoy spending some time outside without too much sun. The Caravel has a dimmable patio awning light, which the Bambi does not have.

The Caravel also has panoramic front and rear windows to allow as much light as possible. The Bambi has plenty of windows, too, just not the same style as the Caravel.
